ERM Glossary: Financial risk
[this page | pdf | references | back links]
Financial risk is typically understood, for a non-financial
organisation, to refer to any type of risk relating to financial matters. It
would thus include ‘market’ and ‘credit’ risk (and ‘foreign exchange’ risk),
using normal financial sector parlance. For financial organisations, it is more
usual to refer to these types of risk separately given their importance for
such firms.
