Nematrian Website Pages on Physics

[this page | pdf | back links]

Whilst most of the pages of the Nematrian website focus on providing users with accessible software tools and/or promoting Nematrian’s other services, the website also contains material of more general interest, including some that relates to more mathematical branches of physics such as:

(a)    Optics, specifically on ways of creating ultra-high numerical aperture lenses, to tie in with patents that one of Nematrian’s directors, Malcolm Kemp, filed in this field. Ultra-high numerical aperture lenses appear to have several potential uses, including solar power generation and (as long as the lenses are of sufficiently low mass) solar powered space flight. They also appear to be relevant to the design of superresolving telescopes and microscopes. If you are interested in pursuing these ideas, please contact Malcolm Kemp at malcolm.kemp@nematrian.com.

(b)   General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics given the underlying mathematical ‘elegance’ of these theories, analogies that can be drawn between them and financial market behaviour and some of the associated key unsolved problems in physics highlighted by e.g. Smolin.
