ERM Glossary: Regulatory risk

Regulatory risk is the subset of legal risk that relates to
losses arising from changes in regulation (or related legislation). In a regulated
industry, its definition may also be extended to cover losses (reputational or
financial) arising from a firm’s failure to manage appropriately its
relationship with its regulator.
