ERM Glossary: Listing Rules
[this page | pdf | references | back links]
Listing rules or requirements are the set of conditions
imposed by a given stock exchange (or stock exchange regulator) on companies
that want to be listed on that exchange. These conditions may include minimum
number of shares outstanding, minimum market capitalisation, minimum annual
income, minimum auditing requirements and minimum standards of governance.
Attached to the London Stock Exchange’s listing rules are a set of guidelines
on corporate governance referred to as the Combined Code,
see here.
