JavaScript Operator: exponentiation assignment

In JavaScript,
the **= operator is
the assignment operator with exponentiation.
For example, if x is 5
and y is 8 then y **= x
results in x remaining 5 and y
= y ** x, so y becomes 32768.
Note: older browsers may
not recognise this operator or the **
operator, in which case the Math.pow()
method would need to be used.
